Pavle Jovović (1989, Užice, Serbia) is a visual artist working predominantly as a painter known for his expressive drawings and large-scale abstractions and prints. In his artistic world, the concrete architecture of brutalism meets traditional embroidery with its colorful patterns and recurring symbols.

Much like the artists of his generation, Pavle draws inspiration from the most intimate memories. Shapes and colors are often the visual fragments of the scenery of his early life.

He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade (2012) and continued education at the prestigious ENSBA (Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts) in Paris, where he obtained both BA and MA degrees.

Pavle lived and exhibited in Belgrade (2008 – 2012), Paris (2012 – 2015), Tokyo (2018), and Basel (2017 – 2019). He currently lives in his hometown of Užice, where, as a member of the Užice Association of Visual Artists, was participated in the founding of the Reflektor gallery, 2017.
